This comprehensive report on euro area reform was published today and co-authored by 14 French and German economists, including my Bruegel colleague Jean Pisani-Ferry, my PIIE colleague Jeromin Zettelmeyer and myself. It builds on earlier work, including my own particularly on banking union and Sovereign Concentration Charges. We view it as supporting the forthcoming EU-wide conversation on economic and financial reform, especially after the Italian election in March and the finalization of German coalition-forming negotiations.
A summary of the argument is also available on Vox, as well as a French version on Telos and a German one on Ökonomenstimme.
